It's Never Too Early

I got an early start this morning and decided to go ahead and knock out some orders....soon after, my daugher woke up...and wanted a piece of the fun. I set her up with a "flower station" where she could piece together felt flowers and match them with vintage buttons. She LOVED it....this picture was taken about 6:55 a.m...It's never too early to start crafting...3 years old & before 7 a.m...gotta love it.

Anniversary with a twist!

Yesterday was our 6 year wedding anniversary. The day started out great - and we planned on heading to the Texas Rangers Baseball game (not my idea of a romantic anniversary, but we happen to have tickets) that afternoon. Well, that was until Campbell got a "hole in her head" as she called it....she was running around in the neighbor's yard & next thing I know - she runs back screaming...and has a dime size hole in her forehead...that was not bleeding. It was so bizarre!! Needless to say, we jumped in the car to head to the Children's Medical Center ER. Oh joy! Campbell was a real trooper & never even cried the whole time she was there. When explaining the accident to the doctor, Campbell said "well, a swing ran into me, and well, that was the problem"....Every died laughing.

We ended up going to the baseball game....and everyone was mended by an overload of ice cream, popcorn, peanuts, and a bucket of french fries. Here is a picture of Charlie & Ken enjoying some nuts....

Summer is almost here!

We got out the water table this afternoon - and boy was it a hit! Campbell tormented Charlie a good bit with the water hose...but after he was fully frozen, he actually started to enjoy the COLD water spray...

I absolutely love these pictures - the sheer joy that being outside (and having a water hose) can bring to these little faces!

We followed the water table adventure with a bike ride up to McDonald's for dinner. Who knew it could take almost 45 minutes to go 2 blocks! ...And my hopes that it would wear her down for a smooth bedtime was a BUST....she was still yelling to me at 8:50 p.m....MOM, you forgot to read me a book....MOM, you forgot to rub my back...MOM, I feel kinda sick....MOM...you get the idea.

Here is a picture of the baby shower centerpiece....my first unknown gender tray...turned out cute!

Successful Craft Fair

I have definitely been very neglectful to my little blog lately! The main reason is due to the overwhelming amount of orders I have had in the last 3 weeks! After sending the email regarding Austin Kidbits to my friends and family - and then those sending it on & on = lots of orders!

Then, on Saturday, April 26th I participated in the Park Cities YMCA craft fair which was lots of fun! I got lots of orders and also got lots of compliments on my stuff! It is always nice to get orders from people that you do not know - so you know there is no sympathy buying! Here is a picture of my booth...it looked pretty cute! One of the women at the YMCA asked me if I used to work in Creative Displays for storefronts....got me thinking about yet another business?! I think I am crazy.
